This week, we visit the SE MUSICLAB in Bern, a collaboration between Strauss Elektroakustik GmbH, ant design studio, and Gramazio Kohler Research.
We use the work of Chrysipp, Lukrez, and Vitruv to talk about architectural acoustics and voices in space. We start with a tour of the different rooms of the SE MUSICLAB and the robotically fabricated Clay Rotunda. We then move to THE STUDIO to discuss about how to talk using the variable acoustics of the space. Finally, we listen to spatial audio in THE LAB, and discuss the different architectural and acoustic qualities of each space.
