For your final assignment, you will use all the tools and knowledge you acquired during the semester to improve the acoustic conditions of an existing room. The room is D24.1 on the D floor of the HIL building (you can find its 3d model above).

Your task is to propose a use for this room and design an appropriate acoustic treatment.
- Describe the room’s current acoustic conditions, and discuss whether it meets the SIA norms for your intended use using the provided acoustic measurement results below.
- Propose acoustic treatment solutions that enhance the acoustic conditions of the room and align with its intended use. You are free to alter its surfaces, add elements, and add materials.
- Justify and illustrate your interventions using drawings, calculations, or simulations.
Collect all the information in your post, and prepare to present your work in class on December 4th. You will have 5 minutes to present and 5 minutes for Q/A.
