Assignment 4 : Inspired-Disoriented

I chose to create a collage because it allows me to bring together a variety of different ideas in one cohesive visual. The concept of ‘inspiration,’ to me, feels like a step in a larger creative process. This is why I designed a passageway, like a corridor or street, to represent the journey of moving through this process.

Behind each window in the passage, I included flowers to symbolize the ideas that bloom as inspiration strikes. These flowers represent creativity flourishing from different sources.

Finally, I wanted to convey a sense of disorientation, which I believe fits well with the experience of sorting through ideas. Once you’re filled with inspiration, there’s often uncertainty about which direction to take next. That’s why I depicted a figure standing in the middle, unsure of which path to choose.

First steps in Unity

Assignment 3 : Drawing

My experience of this music was about associating sounds with images, objects, spaces, not necessarily having a link with each other. At the end, I got this very wide panel of moments.

Assignment 2 : Soundscapes

Static Sound

First, there was this constant ventilation sound coming from the food truck in front of me, and then from time to time, I could here the discussions of people sitting not far from me.

Moving Sound

On top of that, I could hear buses passing as well as airplanes, pretty loud if you focus on them. And finally there were voices of people passing in front of me.

Assignment 1 : Blindfold walk

I began in the entry hall of the HIL Building, then i started to follow to voice of my partner.

In the beginning, I felt pretty unsafe, having difficulties to orient myself in this large space where there is not much to hold on to.

I was focusing on locating my partner,

Steps
Trousers
Voice

As I was following him, I felt changes in atmosphere,

Air
Machine Noises
Floor covering
Temperature

When the 15 minutes ended. it felt like much more, and I had no idea where we could be in the building.
