Assignment 1: Blindfolded Walk
As we were blindfolded, other senses seemed to highten. Things sounded closer than they were. The changes in floor texture were percieved as indicators of location. Suddenly sounds our brain filtered out by design were amplified, all to get a sense of space and our movement through it. In the first minutes it felt like bumping into everything would be inevitable, but as I got used to the sensation and had gained trust in my partner it became a nice experience.
Interestingly enough, I felt most comfort in the gta art gallery, where sounds still echoed like on the open spaces outside, however, there were more lows and mids amplified by the room, making it feel cozy and pleasant.
Assignment 2: Soundscapes
Soundscape 1 – Crows
As I walked over to a field of crows, my presence seemed to disturb them enough to all take flight and loudly announce their displeasure.
Soundscape 2: Water
The noises of the campus pushed me to search for a more peaceful, a more natural soundscape. However beautiful the fountain in the forrest, I could not escape the airplanes over me.

Fear and Hazy
Sometimes it’s the simple things that can scare us most. Nothing has to actually reach out from the darkness and grab us, it’s just the apprehension of what we fear may be in what we can’t see into that can keep our fear at its highest.
Obscured visibility can lead to fear. However, there is something mysterious and ethereal about the way a misty veil obscures the details of the scenery, leaving behind a dreamlike atmosphere.
